Sky - lights...

Tom checking out the insulation on this lovely sunny day, we took a raincheck on glasto this afternoon and thought we would head home to miss the traffic and watch it on the sofa..but popped in to see the progress over the weekend..
The final stage of the extension, this is the roof over the basin area
The fireplace has now been rendered and when dry will be ready to paint chalk white.. and we have a couple little suprises for this little gem..

It's cold outside, come on in....

This week the two frieplaces have been given a new life, these both on the colour floor/1st floor will have wood burner infront of one of them for the winter in the meantime it has be covered with re-claimed floor boards to give height and texture, looks great! The little victorian one has had breeze block built in front to give it more depth and more of a feature as it really is tiny in this size room..

Work spaces

Concrete mixer to mix the sand, water and mortar for the brick layering and the floor of the basin area.. mixing up the materials against the exposed walls is creating such a contrast for the old building.
Taking place.. This the extension of the basin area to be built up this week and then the roof goes on!!
I bought part of a 1920's tram shed from Ebay for the toilet stud work on ground floor
Taking off the old wallpaper and uncovering hidden layers of old paint... Electrians putting conduit up -
contrast of white chalky walls with these textures and the original stairway where its worn away from years of use.
